About Puerto Rico:
Puerto Rico is a tourist town located in the municipality of Mogan on the south coast of the island of Gran Canaria. Its climate is considered amongst the best in the world for its stable temperature and humidity levels, as well as being sheltered against the constant winds typical of the island by the surrounding valley.
Puerto Rico is also famous for being one of the points that receives most sunshine on the island. The holiday village is sheltered from the trade winds by the mountains of the island, which ensures that the sea is nearly always calm which is ideal for swimming and water sports. It also has an average temperature of 25 ° C year round with almost no cloudiness or rainfall.
Puerto Rico beach has the advantage of being close to the sports marina and has a boardwalk that connects to Amadores beach with just a short walk.
Puerto Rico spans three parallel valleys that flow into the Atlantic Ocean; from east to west: Agua de la Perra, Puerto Rico and Amadores. It has two artificial beaches (Puerto Rico and Amadores), two sport marinas (Puerto Base and Puerto Escala), various parks, promenades, shopping centres and numerous sports and leisure facilities.
Puerto Rico has two lively shopping centres, the main centre in the middle of the valley and the Europa centre at the top of Amadores . Both are made up of bars, shops, restaurants and a nightclubs. The nearest golf course is just 5 minutes drive away in Tauro.
Alongside the harbour there are also many restaurants and bars that are ideal for a nice meal as you watch the sun go down.
